From the Institute of Community Development
On Tuesday, September 8 from 4:30pm — 6:00pm we are very excited to have a multilingual session on family and student mental health–in Spanish with interpretation to English. Extension invites moms and dads to an online conversation, Tuesday, September 8, with therapist Susie Miller, LPC. Ms. Miller specializes in treating anxiety and depression in teens and adults. She is trained in adolescent mental health and EMDR therapy for trauma. She works at Blue Stone Counseling and Lakeshore Wellness and Recovery at various locations around Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You can access resources on her website. We will talk about ways to take care of yourself and your children in these difficult moments of returning to school – or not – during the pandemic. The session will be via Zoom. If anyone is new to Zoom, this will be a very inviting way to learn and everyone will be well supported in using Zoom. There is a flier attached, so please share with your networks.
