GET INVOLVED
Over the last 13 years we have walked over 1,500 miles to help bring an end to domestic violence. In 2018, we received 560 calls and texts to our 24 hour helpline. We provided 20,842 shelter nights in our Alternatives to Violence Shelter and our Transitions for Women program.
Join us Friday, August 9 for the YWCA’s 13th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes®
to support bringing an end to domestic violence in our community.
This unique, fun march invites you to walk a mile in women’s shoes to raise awareness and funds for the YWCA Rock County’s efforts to help women and children affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Not sure you want to walk in heels? Don’t worry, you can still get pumped up about the cause by walking with us in comfy footwear. We just need you to show your support of the women and girls in your life by taking a stand, or a walk rather, against domestic violence. Everyone is welcome to walk: men, women, and children!
If you are returning as a team captain or you’re interested in gathering friends, family, and coworkers to start a team, please contact Cori Olin at 608-752-5445 ext. 205 or [email protected].
