It is important to vote.

If you have requested and received an absentee ballot for the  election, it is very important for you to fill it out and send it in.  If people who got the August ballot did not fill it out and return it, they will be taken off the list to receive an absentee ballot for November.

is very important for every eligible voter in Wisconsin to cast a ballot this November.  We don’t want people waiting for an absentee ballot that won’t arrive.  So, it is important for everyone who gets a ballot for this summer’s election to use it! Absentee ballots have to be received by the local election officials by 8pm on the day of the election. By the way, you can still request an absentee ballot at www.myvote.wi.gov .

Speaking of making sure everyone gets a chance to vote:  Be sure to tell people you know that people who have been convicted of a felony are eligible to vote as soon as their “extended supervision,” probation or parole comes to an end – as soon as they are “off paper.”  Also, people currently incarcerated for misdemeanors are eligible to vote, as are people who are awaiting trial.
